Get ready to celebrate culture, community, and tradition at the Annual First Peoples Festival Friendship Powwow on January 17th and 18th, 2026, held at the stunning Estes Park Events Complex in Estes Park, Colorado! This free and open-to-the-public event promises unforgettable Grand Entry ceremonies kicking off at 1 PM and 7 PM on Saturday and 12 PM on Sunday, featuring spectacular traditional dances led by an incredible head staff team: MC Steve LaPointe, AD JoeKiah Waters, Spiritual Advisor Andy Cozad, Head Man Randy Medicine Bear, Head Woman Dr. Vivian Delgado, Northern Drum Drifting Bull and Robert Hawk, Southern Drum Elk Creek and Jessie Hamilton, along with the proud Color Guard of Indigenous Veterans of Colorado.
Whether youโre a dancer ready to register or a spectator eager to experience the powerful energy of Jingle, Fancy, Traditional, and Grass dances across all ages, this powwow has something for everyone. Plus, dive into the rich offerings of a Native Art Market, savor an Indigenous-inspired dinner at Twin Owls Steakhouse, explore captivating films at the First Peoples Film Symposium, and enjoy the flair of the First Peoples Fashion Show.
