Yarn & Fiber Dyeing – Wool, Wool Blends, & Plant-based Fibers! With Reactive Dyes

DESCRIPTION: If you are interested in creating your own yarn colors & learning to dye luxury wool, wool blends, plant-based fiber yarn, & spinning fiber, this is the workshop for you! Learn the basics of working with bamboo yarn – plant-based techniques that will transfer to cotton, linen, hemp, etc. We’ll also dye wool & wool blend yarns as well as wool spinning fibers, with vivid, easy-to-use reactive dyes! Learn to create tonals, solids, & special effects (handpaints & speckles) in several fiberways. Instruction & creativity with yarn & color led by Jennifer Miller of Theodora’s Pearls, a yarn dyer with many years experience! Jennifer is especially known for her plant-based yarn: bamboo, cotton, & more, & will be assisted by Rhianna Howard. Full instructions for continuing yarn dyeing at home will be provided.
